a rhyme for abby

sippy cups and toddler spoons
Eric Carle and Goodnight Moon
little jeans and little socks
big blue eyes, golden locks.

blueberries sweet, you so love fruit
time to feed Tilly, this is cute
cup after cup of cold whole milk
little pink lips, soft as silk

contagious laughter, ticklish spots
metal spoons on metal pots
mama, dada, uh-oh, and bye-bye
forever curious, exploring why

loving music, dancing free
bopping your head with daddy and me
opened mouthed kisses, slobbery and wet
are the best kind of kisses anyone gets.

Tilly, Pebbles, Tortouga and doll
Lamby and gloworm, D'artangnan and frog
small rubber duckies and big wooden blocks
argyle bedding with polka dots

chunky puzzles, stacking bowls
iphone games, remote controls
wooden trains and picture books
its amazing how your brain works

12 little teeth sharp and white
brush them left, brush them right
playing with bubbles, loving the bath
infectious giggles with every splash

hugs and kisses, love extreme
peaceful sleeping, baby dreams
tiny little baby breaths
all played out, time for rest

close your eyes, drift to sleep
feel our love that runs so deep.
you are our life, forevermore
and life is grander than before.

love, mommy.

Wow! That was wonderful. She will treasure this when she is older. It's so Abby like. Good job!
