busy in the city

Yesterday was Good Friday and we had a good one indeed.  :)

Our friend Kelly flew up here to spend the weekend with us and Kyra.  We decided to show them the basic boston downtown tour.  Mostly we stuck to the freedom trail. But our first stop was at the apple store - where we let Abby play with the pretty shiny computers.

The day was so pretty.  It was perfect weather for walking around town.  I even spotted a few flowers around - a sure sign that spring is on the way!

We stopped at the old cemetery where Sam Adams, Paul Revere, John Hancock and other such figures are buried.  I love the old artwork on the tombstones.  This one is from the grave of mother Goose.

After a little more sight seeing, Kelly bought Abby her first pair of sunglasses.  She was stylin' all day.  I cannot wait for the beach this summer. :)

We walked through the farmer's market on the way to the North End.  I love the atmosphere around these markets- everything so fresh - people making bargins.  I snapped a shot of the fish.  I'm always a little intrigued by the fish market - never had many of those in Arkansas.

We also stopped by Mike's Pastries again for some yummy treats.  After we got home, the girls and I went out shopping.  We found an Easter dress for Abigail and some other cute clothes.  We had a good time.  It was a long day and we were all tired.  We enjoyed a fancy dinner of  delivered Chinese food on the living room floor.  Fabulous.  It was really really good.
Poor Abby didn't get to bed until 9pm.  She was sooooooo tired.  Luckily, she slept fine and woke up around 9 this morning.  So, our schedule is a little off today -but we'll manage.  We have a full couple of days, so I will try to post regularly.
Happy Easter Eve everybody!
